Many businesses are still fairly happy to go the usual route when it comes to marketing and advertising – flyers, posters and more besides – but in the long term, more and more people are being turned over to the idea of going ‘green’ when it comes to promotional materials. This means, of course, ditching paper altogether – which, for some firms and individuals, may seem like too big a leap to take. When it all boils down to it, however, you’ll not just be saving the trees and the environment – you’ll be saving yourself time, money and more besides.
Internet marketing has been the standard for modern businesses for quite some time now – meaning that getting it right has never been so important. Search engine optimisations, or SEO, has revolutionised the way we promote our businesses – from the basics of keyword targeting right the way through to ensuring that the user experience is perfect on each and every test run. Search engine optimisation is rather like the digital version of putting up posters in your local area – the right technique makes sure that you get seen by the right people at the right time.
Beyond SEO, of course, there are other ways you can actively promote yourself online in a way that isn’t completely dissimilar to producing a long-running physical marketing campaign. If you’re interested in saving the environment by moving towards wholly online marketing campaigns, you can do far worse than consider taking to social media to really influence word of mouth. Social media such as Facebook and Twitter really is the playground of the people now – meaning that they will actively spread the word about your firm and products so you don’t have to.
Beyond this, there is always good old Google AdWords. Google AdWords, again, effectively allows you to advertise to the right people at the right time – meaning that you can essentially stake out certain spaces online to ensure that you get the views and clicks that you’ve been looking for. It’s a method that may be dying out a little thanks to SEO techniques becoming so sophisticated and organic – but we still love Google AdWords all the same!
When it comes to getting your business and product line seen, don’t always go for the tree-burning option. Take to the internet and spread the word through Google and beyond! We, as always, will show you how.
